When you first choose HUNT from the Main menu, you are given 100 credits.
This allows you access to less advanced hunting areas. When you have earned
enough creditsm, you can move into mroe advanced areas with more expensive weapons and more dangerous animals. Each animal,
area and weapon has its own cost, and the credits you have remaining determine what you can and cannot bring on your hunt.
Available items are grey and selected items are displayed in yellow.
When you have chosen an item from the menu, other selections may become unavailable depending on your remaining creits. you can easily have several animals to
hunt, with several weapons selected at the same time as you advance in your hunting skills.
Available credits are shown on the top center of thr screen. The number on the left represent total credits, while the number on the right represents credits
remaining.
As you hunt the selected Dinosaur's, each successful kill will
result in a number of credits added to your account. You can also kill more
than one animal per hunting expedition. However, if you are killed by a animal,
drowned etc, all credits accumulated on that specific hunt are deemed
null. You must Exit the Area to keep the credits you earnt.
There are various methods of increasing or decreasing your credits
per dinosaur.
When you kill or tranquilize a animal, you will recieve credits
that are dependant on the type of animal and on your selected equipment
usage. For example, killing an animal that as not selected at the menu
will give you only half of that animals total available credits. Tranquilizing
rather than killing a animal will increase your credits per hunt by
25%. Also, using other items from the equipment list can also reduce your
credits received from the hunt. Radar for example, will decrease the animals
credit by 30% on that hunt.
